The Chinook is built for regular riders who want dependable support for different bikes. With a 45-lb per-bike capacity and a 2-bike design, it’s ready for most road, hybrid, and cruiser setups. The steel frame and black powder coat keep it strong and rust resistant, while the anti-rattle hitch pin steadies the load so there’s no wobble on rough roads.

No need to take your bikes off to get into the back. A spring-loaded release lets the rack tilt down—bikes and all—for quick access to gear or groceries. The same lever folds the rack up flat when you’re done riding, making it easier to store and park without removing it from the hitch.

Ratcheting hooks on the center mast hold each bike by the frame so everything stays locked in place. Each hook moves independently to fit different frame shapes, and the soft padding keeps paint and finishes safe from scuffs. It’s simple—slide, click, and go.

Sliding wheel cradles make it easy to line up two bikes of different lengths. Hand knobs loosen for sliding, then tighten to lock in place. The ratcheting straps cinch the wheels tight, securing anything from a 20" to 29" wheel. For wider setups, add optional cradles to carry tires up to 5" across.

Everything locks together with one key set. The rack secures to the hitch with a locking pin, and each hook has its own lock to keep bikes safe while you’re away. The threaded hitch connection also cuts down on movement, so your gear stays tight and secure from the driveway to the trailhead.

Its been a year and my wife thinks her Swagman dual bike rack is the cats meow. Its works as well as the day we purchased it with absolutely no issues. The best thing a bout the rack is how easy it is to put back on the car. My wife, out of the blue, said she wanted to go riding and that she needs the rack. I took it out of the shed, []ed it into the hitch, tightened the bolt with a ratchet wrench, and 5 minutes later, she was good to go!

Pretty good after a year. Discovered I need to re-tighten the hitch bolt where it connects the rack to the hitch - it loosens off with time. Otherwise, an excellent rack.

Working great a year later. I’ve used it many times to transfer my bike and, multiple times to transport 2 bikes. Very sturdy. In generally keep the rack on the car so the folding feature is great. I have also used the tip away feature to open the back gate of my Ford Escape when the bikes are on the rack. I don’t notice any rust developing so far. I’m very happy with this purchase.

That is great to hear! I am glad it has been working well for you especially over that 800 mile trip. Where were you headed?? I just got back from my own mountain trip! I agree you can't go wrong with a Thule or a Kuat but for the price the Swagman is killer.
